History
The Upper St. Clair Theater opened in the 1960's with the opening of the original Upper St. Clair High School. Over the years the theater has been a home to many musicals and plays, performed by USC students. The Theater has also hosted many concerts and event throughout its existence. In 1999 the Theater as well as Upper St. Clair High School received a extensive renovation. With this renovation all the technology within the theater was updated to state of the art. Since 1999 many other improvements have taken place, such as the addition of a acoustic shell, donated by the Community Foundation. In 2007 a new digital soundboard was added to replace the previous analog console. This soundboard in addition to our new under stage fill speakers contributes to the great acoustic experience of our Theater. On November 22, 2008 the last major addition to the theater took place. That was the first public performance of our Steinway D Concert Grand Piano generously donated by the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair.
The Upper St. Clair Theater is currently under the management of ARAMARK with James Bennett as the current Director of Theater Operations. Anne-Carol Tawoda, Theater Manager with Terry Williard as the Theater’s Technical Director, manage various other issues.
