White Christmas

March 5, 2016 at 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM

When White Christmas opens, the setting is somewhere on the Western Front of World War II, Christmas Eve, 1944. General Bob Wallace and Captain Phil Davis are serenading the troops, attempting to boost morale. The next scene jumps to 1954, post-war.

Having left the Army following WWII, the two vets team up to become a top song-and-dance act. Davis plays matchmaker and introduces Wallace to a pair of beautiful sisters, Betty and Judy Haynes, who happen to also have a song-and-dance act. When Betty and Judy travel to a Vermont lodge to perform a Christmas show, Wallace and Davis follow, only to find their former commander General Waverly is the lodge owner. A series of romantic mix-ups ensue as the performers try to help the General.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Presented through special arrangement with R & H Theatricals: www.rnh.com.
